PUBLIC RELATIONS
PR SERVICES
My PR experience is varied, spanning roles with global ethical cosmetics giant Lush, agency work on accounts such as Meadowhall Shopping Centre and an in-house managerial role for a independent restaurant group.

During the last nine years as a consultant I have undertaken PR work for clients including The Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA), Cafeology and Roundabout, Sheffield's youth homeless charity.

Please see below for some brief case studies.

Bangers & Cash Charity Art Roadshow Car Rally
In 2018 I provided PR and social media services for Roundabout as part of their Bangers and Cash fundraising initiative.

We were proud to have BBC Radio Sheffield as our media partner for the project and this broadcast coverage, along with multiple features on BBC Look North, contributed towards over 100 pieces of project coverage over six months with an editorial value equivalent (EVE) of £3,408,240.78.

The project itself raised over £80,000 for Roundabout, which will help the charity to provide an outreach service for rough sleepers in the city-centre and extend their homeless prevention work across the Sheffield City Region.

The Guardian Sustainable Business Awards
In 2015 I worked with Sheffield-based coffee company Cafeology to research and write a detailed submission on their behalf for the Guardian Sustainable Business Awards.

The application extolled the virtues of Cafeology's bird-friendly shade-grown coffee - an innovative initiative that encouraged consumer understanding of how coffee production can be damaging to the environment.
The entry caught the judges' attention and Cafeology went on to scoop the Innovation award in the Natural Capital category, which in turn led to significant national press coverage for the brand and product.

National BeerX Festival and Conference
I worked on the annual SIBA BeerX festival from 2012 to 2017, when the event dropped the consumer-facing festival element and moved to Liverpool.

For the 2017 event I achieved over 30 pieces of media coverage with an EVE of £109,589.76.

I also supported with marketing initiatives, such as securing prominent digital screen advertising and arranginig promotional space on Sheffield's iconic Winter Garden.
I also utilised my local contacts to develop creative features, such as coverage on the food pages of the Sheffield Telegraph with one of the event's caterers, Percy & Lily's.
